Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking an experienced School-Based Psychologist for an in-person contract role in Berkeley County, SC. You will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, collaborate with educators and families, and support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.

The position involves evaluations, consultations, interventions, and prevention services within a school setting, with 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from NASP-approved/accredited program.
• Valid SC state license or state department of education certification as a School Psychologist.
• Educator Certificate (if applicable).
• Prefer experience as School Psychologist in a school setting.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop and implement IEPs and BIPs.
• Provide counseling and interventions to support student mental health.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address academic and behavioral challenges.
• Offer consultation and training to school personnel on strategies to improve learning environments.
• Promote positive mental health through prevention programs, crisis intervention, and school-wide initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with regulations.
