Strides Therapy & Educational Services in Berkeley County, SC, seeks an in-person School Psychologist for a contract role. You will conduct evaluations, collaborate on IEPs/BIPs, provide counseling, and support students’ academic and emotional well-being within a school setting.

Requirements include a NASP-approved degree and SC licensure/certification, with preferred district experience and knowledge of special education laws.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from a NASP-approved/accredited program.
• Valid SC state license or state department of education certification as a School Psychologist.
• Educator Certificate (if applicable).
• Prefer experience working as a School Psychologist in a school setting.
• Prefer knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
• Strong skills in psychological testing, counseling, and intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to cultural competence and diversity.
• Passion for working with children and adolescents in educational settings.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing needs

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop and implement IEPs and BIPs.
• Provide counseling and interventions to support students' emotional and mental health needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address students' academic and behavioral challenges.
• Offer consultation and training to school personnel on strategies to improve learning environments and student outcomes.
• Promote positive mental health through prevention programs, crisis intervention, and school-wide initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
