Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a full-time School Psychologist for a fixed-term contract in Columbia, SC, from August 6, 2026 to May 27, 2027. You will conduct psychoeducational evaluations, provide counseling services, and collaborate with IEP teams to support student learning and mental health.

The role involves working with a diverse caseload, coordinating with families and community partners, and staying current with professional developments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in school psychology.
• Valid state certification as a School Psychologist.
• Minimum two years experience as a school psychologist intern.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and reporting findings.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and community professionals.
• Proficiency with standard office technology (computers and phones).

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, interpreting test results and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Provide individual and group counseling services to support mental health and social adjustment.
• Observe behaviors, analyze data, and synthesize input from teachers, parents, and medical professionals.
• Collaborate in IEP teams and student assessment meetings; help develop interventions and behavioral strategies.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and coordinate with external agencies as needed.
• Prepare detailed records, psychological reports, and Medicaid reimbursement documentation.
• Keep current on relevant professional developments and legislative updates.
• Participate in staff and parent in-service education.

Education

Master's degree in School Psychology

Valid state certification as School Psychologist

Two years experience as school psychologist intern
