Qualifications

• Eligible for South Carolina School Psychologist certification (out-of-state applicants must meet this requirement).
• At least 2 years of recent experience as a School Psychologist in elementary settings.
• Knowledge of South Carolina Special Education laws and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication for collaboration with staff, students and families.
• Ability to provide direct support services, consultation and intervention planning.
• Onsite availability for the duration of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments tailored to elementary students.
• Participate in development and review of IEPs.
• Consult with teachers, parents and administrators to promote positive outcomes.
• Deliver counseling and behavioral intervention services as needed.
• Support crisis intervention and provide student support recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to compliance regulations.
