Job summary

Monmouth University is seeking an adjunct Professor of Data Science in the Computer Science and Software Engineering department. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level Data Science courses in person at the West Long Branch campus.

The position is part-time adjunct faculty, typically 3-6 credits per semester, with course schedules determined by department needs and candidate availability. This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position at Monmouth University.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Data Science, AI, CS or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Data Science or related discipline.
• Experience teaching Data Science or related topics in higher education.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3-6 credits of undergraduate and/or graduate Data Science courses each semester.
• Develop and deliver lectures, discussions and assignments.
• Provide time to meet with students outside of class.
• Assess student learning outcomes with projects and exams and provide timely feedback.
