Job summary

Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Adjunct Professor of Information Technology in the Computer Science/Software Engineering department. This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position located at West Long Branch, NJ.

The successful candidate will teach 3-6 credits per semester, develop lectures and assessments, and provide office hours to support student learning while fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a technology-related field (or a master's with tech experience).
• Two years of demonstrated experience in using technology.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3-6 credits during the semester.
• Develop and deliver course lectures, discussions and assignments.
• Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and academic success.
• Develop and administer projects and exams to evaluate student learning outcomes and provide grades in a timely manner.
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to students to support their learning and development.
