Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a dedicated Para Educator to join a school in Franklin County, MA for the 2026-2027 school year. This in-person, full-time role supports classroom instruction and student engagement.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree or equivalent coursework, 1+ year of relevant experience (preferred), and the ability to maintain professional discretion with student information. Start ASAP with end date of June 17, 2027.

Qualifications

• Meets NCLB "Highly Qualified" requirements.
• Associate degree or equivalent coursework and at least 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).
• Ability to handle sensitive student information with professionalism and discretion.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with students and adults in a school setting.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong attention to detail, and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction by helping educators deliver lessons and learning activities throughout the school day.
• Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and classroom routines.
• Partner with teachers and related staff to help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for students.
• Assist with student supervision and behavior support strategies, including participating in approved safety interventions when needed.
• Prepare and organize classroom spaces, supplies, and instructional materials as directed by the teaching team.
