Job summary

Onward Education seeks a Para Educator to support a Franklin County school for the 2026-2027 year. The role is in-person, 32.5 hours per week, start ASAP with an end date of June 17, 2027.

Qualifications include meeting NCLB “Highly Qualified” requirements, a tendency to build positive relationships with students and staff, reliability, and discretion with sensitive information. An associate degree or equivalent coursework with at least 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to build positive working relationships with students and adults in a school setting.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong attention to detail, and consistent attendance.
• Ability to handle sensitive student information with professionalism and discretion.
• Associate degree or equivalent coursework and at least 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction by helping educators deliver lessons and activities.
• Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and routines.
• Partner with teachers and staff to maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for students.
• Assist with supervision and behavior support strategies, including approved safety interventions when needed.
• Prepare and organize classroom spaces, supplies, and instructional materials as directed.
