The University of South Florida in Tallahassee is seeking a grant-funded professional to assist the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (BEESS) in IDEA compliance for students with disabilities. This in-person role supports dispute resolution monitoring and state-level program reviews.

You will coordinate policy reviews, advise districts on corrective actions, monitor progress, and draft closure notices while ensuring documentation meets requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, Education, Adult Education or equivalent with one year of experience in a professional training position; or a Master’s degree in the same field.
• Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: 3+ years professional training experience; or Master’s with 2 years training experience.

Responsabilités

• Review Reports of Inquiries (ROIs) and monitor corrective actions to completion.
• Coordinate ESE Policies & Procedures reviews for compliance in the General Supervision Website (GSW).
• Assist districts in improving IDEA compliance by ensuring timely completion of corrective actions.
• Track district progress toward completing corrective actions and maintain required documentation.
• Review documentation to determine district meeting of corrective actions and communicate revisions needed.
• Assist districts in correcting non-compliance identified through state complaint processes and provide technical assistance.
• Draft and issue closure letters upon completion of all corrective actions; close out the complaint in the GSW.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
