Job summary

SLAM Boca Raton Middle/High School is seeking an experienced ESE Specialist to support students with disabilities and ensure compliant educational services, accommodations, and modifications. The role will collaborate with administrators, general education teachers, service providers, parents, and district staff to promote student achievement and ensure Florida ESE requirements are met.

Qualifications

• ESE K-12 certification is required.
• Experience coordinating IEPs, 504 plans, and related services.
• Strong collaboration and communication with families and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the development, implementation, and reviews of IEPs.
• Monitor IEP compliance, accommodations, and related services.
• Collaborate with teachers to provide instructional support and access to the general curriculum.
• Schedule and conduct IEP meetings, eligibility reviews, reevaluations, and parent conferences.
• Maintain confidential ESE documentation and compliance timelines.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals and assist with instructional strategies.
• Coordinate evaluations and referrals with appropriate personnel.
• Provide guidance to teachers on ESE procedures and best practices.
• Communicate with parents about student progress and supports.
• Collaborate with administration and service providers to address student needs.
• Assist in monitoring testing accommodations during assessments.
• Support inclusive instructional practices for student engagement and achievement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
