Job summary

Atlanta Public Schools seeks a self-motivated Hourly Paraprofessional to support teachers in meeting the educational, behavioral, and social emotional needs of students with disabilities in the classroom and community.

This on-site role reports to the School Principal and requires physical presence in the school building. You will assist with small group instruction, data collection, and collaboration with staff and families.

Qualifications

• GA Paraprofessional Certificate or equivalency required or 2-year college/certificate.
• High School Diploma or GED required for consideration.
• Experience with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers with instructional and behavioral needs of students with disabilities in-person.
• Provides small group and individualized instruction per IEP and lesson plans.
• Collects instructional and behavioral data for each student.
• Implements Behavior Intervention Plans for students with disabilities.
• Communicates with teachers and parents about student progress.
• Assists with standardized testing and daily materials.
