Job summary

Teach For America is seeking a Community Conversation Facilitator (Temp) to lead belonging-focused conversations in Phoenix, AZ. Facilitators will prepare, train, and guide small groups of 1st and 2nd year corps members through in-person conversations with food.

Responsibilities include pre-session preparation, attending trainings, facilitating the meals, and debriefing afterward. The role requires in-person availability for November 2026 and March 2027 dates.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional work experience in belonging work and/or related field with adults.
• At least 2 years of ECE-12 teaching experience with demonstrated student success.
• Experience facilitating with adults, with responsiveness and adaptability.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and self-awareness.
• Ability to work in person on specific November 2026 & March 2027 dates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for conversations and meals by internalizing reflections to share with participants (1 hour).
• Attend 1–2 hours of training and rehearsal.
• Facilitate the conversations and meals (approx. 1 hour).
• Spend 30–60 minutes debriefing after sessions.
• Be available to facilitate both dates in person.
