Job summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking a Production Planning/Scheduler for our Fremont, CA location. You will develop and maintain detailed production schedules, coordinating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet customer lead times.

The role requires 100% in-office presence in Fremont, CA, with INFOR ERP usage to optimize throughput and on-time delivery. Strong Excel and data analysis skills are essential, along with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 3–7 years of production planning/scheduling experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (INFOR preferred).
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and capacity planning.
• Excellent communication and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on orders, materials, and capacity.
• Coordinate with Production, Fabrication, and Engineering to align schedules with resources.
• Review orders, validate ship dates, and align with lead times.
• Manage schedule changes for expedited orders and delays, communicating with stakeholders.
• Use INFOR ERP to plan, monitor, and adjust manufacturing activities.
• Analyze resources and material availability to identify bottlenecks.
• Partner with Supply Chain to ensure timely material flow to production lines.
• Participate in cross-functional planning meetings across purchasing, fabrication, and assembly.
• Identify process improvements to improve scheduling accuracy and throughput.
• Support lean initiatives like Kanban and standardized work.
• Provide ERP utilization and production reporting best practices.
• Serve as link between production, planning, materials, and customer service.
• Escalate capacity or delivery risks to Production Planning Manager.
• Support schedule changes due to design modifications or supply delays.
