Job summary

DaMar Staffing is assisting a Baton Rouge area medical clinic in finding an experienced Medical Biller for a full-time, in-office role. The ideal candidate will have in-office billing experience, be proficient with EMR/EHR systems and billing software, and possess strong attention to detail to ensure accurate claims, compliant submissions, and timely payments.

This is a hands-on clinic position offering competitive pay of $15–$16 per hour.

Qualifications

• In-office medical billing experience in a clinic or hospital is required.
• Experience using medical billing software and EMR/EHR systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and basic medical terminology.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication with patients and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate medical claims using billing software.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits; appeal denied claims.
• Monitor aged accounts receivable and collect outstanding payments.
• Maintain detailed medical billing records and ensure data accuracy.
