Job summary

Florida Department of Health is seeking a Systems Project Analyst to provide IT support and administration in the Director’s Office within the Division of Disease Control and Health Protection. Responsibilities include equipment setup, troubleshooting, and documentation development to optimize workflows.

The role involves collaborating with program teams to enhance data collection and display, while upholding agency IT security practices and maintaining equipment inventories.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting ability across Windows desktops/laptops, end user applications, hardware, networking basics, and peripheral devices.
• Ability to independently resolve complex technical issues without escalation.
• Demonstrated ability to produce Standard Operating Procedures, How-To Guides, and Technical Instructions.
• Ability to explain technology to non-technical staff members.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provides IT support for all Division staff, including setup and configuration of IT equipment, hardware and software troubleshooting, and staff training.
• Works with Division programs to find more efficient and modern ways to collect, process and display data; streamline and automate processes.
• Create, refine, and maintain SOPs and technical documentation to ensure optimized workflows.
• Follows Agency policies and best practices for IT operations and security; participate in IT meetings; ensure devices and software are up to date.
• Research new technology and products and evaluate them for Division needs; involved in purchasing process.
• Keeps track of IT equipment and assists with inventory and IT surplus processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
