Job summary

Ghafari Associates seeks an engineering intern to be fully in-office in Dearborn, MI or Birmingham, AL for May–August 2027. You will apply CAD/Revit skills to generate design documents and digital models under supervision.

Responsibilities include creating engineering drawings with AutoCAD/Revit, coordinating with engineers, and producing final documents for review while developing 3D models and contributing to team problem solving.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline with at least two years of coursework completed.
• Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documents using CAD technology with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand project scope and data needs.
• Produce and revise drawings and 3D models for review.
• Assist with document coordination and timely production deliveries.
• Support deployment of CAD design practices and team problem solving.
