Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Garage Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to adjudicate complex commercial claims from our offices in Omaha, NE or Richmond, VA, with opportunities in Albany, NY; Chicago, IL; and Los Angeles, CA. This is a 100% on-site role reporting to a Denver-based manager and focused on delivering superb client outcomes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years' experience adjudicating first and third party commercial Garage Bodily Injury claims.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required. Two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• Licensed Claims Examiner; must be licensed (or able to obtain) in required jurisdictions within 120 days.
• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Strong claim negotiation skills a must; ability to negotiate towards cost-effective resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate Garage Bodily Injury claims of high technical complexity with impact on departmental results.
• Conduct information gathering, analysis and investigation to resolve issues.
• Report to senior management and underwriters on claims trends and developments.
• Identify loss drivers and trends to reduce frequency and severity through data analysis.
• Analyze forms, endorsements and client instructions to determine coverage.
• Investigate claims promptly, including interviewing involved parties.
• Manage claims in litigation and ensure timely resolutions.
• Set reserves and coordinate expertise resources for case resolution.
• Prepare reports for file documentation and present findings.
