Job summary

Stream Data Centers in Dallas/Frisco, Texas is seeking a Desktop Technician to provide Tier 1 end-user support. You will deploy devices, support Microsoft 365, and help with onboarding and offboarding while following security and ITSM processes.

This in-office role requires basic Windows 10/11, networking basics, and strong customer service. You’ll work with a growing IT team, learn on the job, and participate in occasional after-hours, with travel between sites up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and common endpoint troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, IP) and printer troubleshooting.
• Hands-on Helpdesk or desktop support experience.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 support via phone, email, chat, ticket portal, and in-person requests.
• Record, categorize, prioritize, and update incidents and service requests in the IT service‑management system.
• Troubleshoot issues involving Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, browsers, printers, Wi‑Fi, VPN, conference-room technology, and peripherals.
• Prepare, configure, deploy, replace, and recover laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, and accessories.
• Assist with device enrollment and endpoint provisioning through Microsoft Intune and other tools.
• Support password resets, MFA, and routine account-access issues following least-privilege.
• Complete onboarding/offboarding tasks, including equipment prep, access coordination, and asset documentation.
• Escalate unresolved or high-impact issues with notes and evidence.
• Maintain accurate ticket notes, asset records, and knowledge articles.
• Communicate clearly with users and provide status updates until resolution.
• Follow Stream security, change-management, and acceptable-use procedures.
• Support occasional after-hours activities or on-call coverage.
