Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Triage Specialist to join our Omaha office, working 6:00am–3:00pm CT with meal break. The role supports claims intake, assigns cases, and collaborates with adjusters to process workers’ compensation claims.

Opportunities exist to move into Claims Trainee roles as openings arise. The position is strictly in-office with overtime as needed, and requires strong data capture, time management, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• One year insurance experience required.
• General knowledge of commercial insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years’ relevant experience; or vocational/technical education with at least one year of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Experience with Guidewire and/or ClaimsCenter preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to claims adjusters to facilitate timely intake and assignment of workers’ compensation claims.
• Update new and existing claims in claims database and contact brokers as needed.
• Screen all incoming calls, assess and assign to proper party.
• Prepare written correspondence, print backup documentation, mail checks.
• Electronic and paper filing as needed.
• Determine coverage and adjuster assignment.
• Investigate the claim by contacting the claimant and processing mail and workload.
