BrightStar Care of Omaha is seeking a dedicated Community Care Coordinator (Scheduler) in Omaha, NE to organize caregiver schedules and ensure 100% shift coverage. This in-office role sits at the heart of daily operations, aligning clients, families, and field staff for smooth communication.

The candidate will serve as the main contact for field staff, coordinate schedule changes with empathy, and support high-quality home care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in healthcare scheduling, care coordination, customer service, or healthcare office administration (home care or senior care experience preferred).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an empathetic, reassuring, and professional phone manner.
• Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate schedule changes, last-minute call-outs, and client requests quickly and calmly under pressure.
• High comfort level learning and operating healthcare scheduling platforms, CRM software, communication tools, and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Exceptional organization skills with strict attention to detail, strong time-management, and an absolute commitment to client confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).

Responsibilities

• Field Scheduling: Build and optimize daily caregiver and nursing schedules to ensure 100% shift coverage.
• Team Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for field staff to handle daily shift updates and logistics.
• Family Engagement: Partner with clients and families to process schedule changes with empathy and speed.
• Proactive Touchpoints: Conduct regular check-ins with caregivers and families to maintain high care satisfaction.
• Problem Solving: Resolve last-minute schedule changes or call-outs with minimal disruption to client care.
