Job summary

Larimer County is seeking an Accounting Technician to join the Accounting Team within the Department of Human Services. This 100% in-office role supports Accounts Payable, Mileage and Travel Reimbursements, Payroll, and Grants in a fast-paced environment.

You will enter data, verify reports, process vouchers, file documents, and maintain payroll records while collaborating with a diverse team. Three professional references are required with the application.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a directly related field, or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Receives immediate supervision from higher-level supervisory or management personnel.
• Enters accounting data on computers, ledgers, and other accounting records according to established methods and procedures.
• Checks computer reports for accuracy and completeness, and makes routine adjustments as necessary.
• Processes and prepares vouchers for payment.
• Files receipts, vouchers, billings, and other materials according to established methods and procedures.
• Maintains payroll records and time sheets, computes necessary payroll calculations, and may prepare payroll summaries.
