Job summary

Cascadia Global Security is a Kent, WA–based security company seeking an Accounting & Payroll Specialist for our in-office team. You will own accounts payable and payroll and contribute to general and month-end accounting as the company scales.

You will drive process improvement, fix inefficiencies, and support journal entries, reconciliations, and tax filings with automation as we grow. This full-time position includes competitive pay and employer-paid benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent hands-on accounting experience.
• At least one year of accounting experience in AP, payroll, GL, or reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and data cleanup.
• Accuracy and follow-through; you close your own loops.
• Able to work in-office in Kent, with occasional travel less than 10% to meet teams in Texas and Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Own accounts payable end-to-end in Ramp, including vendor setup, coding, approvals, and payment runs.
• Administer corporate card program in Ramp.
• Run payroll in Paycom, bi-weekly for hourly staff and semi-monthly for salaried staff.
• Research and resolve payroll and vendor issues to prevent fire drills.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and prepaid schedules.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
• Support month-end close with our accounting firm.
• Build cash flow projections with Controller, VP, and President.
• Oversee multi-state sales and use tax filings using automation software.
