Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, including in-house and/or law firm supporting commercial transactions.
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements including customer sales, services, MSAs, SOWs, engineering and development, supply, procurement, NDAs, technology licensing, and other contracts.
• Provide practical, business-focused legal guidance on contractual rights, obligations, and risk allocation.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and recommend balanced solutions aligning with business objectives.
• Develop, maintain, and improve contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and contracting processes.
• Support domestic and international commercial transactions as needed.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations and other teams throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Assist internal clients in evaluating legal and business risks and advise on contracting best practices and legal considerations.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and contribute to continuous improvement in the Legal Department.
