Job summary

Peregrine is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its legal team. The role reports to the Associate General Counsel and supports commercial contracts while advising on corporate, privacy, IP, and operations in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.

You will collaborate with Sales, Finance, Contracts, Customer Delivery, Marketing and more. Ideal candidates learn quickly, adapt, and want to broaden in-house generalist skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience in commercial/transactional legal work (4+ years).
• Experience with technology transactions or general commercial contracting preferred (SaaS, licensing, vendor contracts).
• Willingness to broaden skills across the business and explain legal risk clearly.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate sales, partnerships, and customer delivery agreements, including licensing, software, vendor, reseller, and data sharing agreements.
• Provide practical advice on IP, data privacy, security, AI, and software licensing.
• Review marketing collateral and related contracts; work with Legal Operations to scale templates and playbooks.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting Peregrine’s business; educate stakeholders.
