Job summary

Peregrine is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join our legal team. This in-house role supports commercial contracts across the business and advises on corporate, privacy, IP, and operations in partnership with the broader legal team.

You’ll collaborate with Sales, Finance, Contracts, and Marketing to draft, review, and negotiate agreements, build playbooks, and stay ahead of evolving laws that affect Peregrine’s rapidly scaling platform.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 4+ years of experience in commercial/transactional legal work.
• Experience with technology transactions or SaaS licensing preferred.
• Ability to explain legal risk to non-lawyers in plain terms.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate sales, partnerships, and customer-delivery agreements including licensing, vendor, reseller, and data-sharing agreements.
• Provide practical advice on IP, data privacy, security, AI, and software licensing.
• Review marketing collateral and related contracts such as agency, sponsorship, and event agreements.
• Collaborate with Legal Operations to build templates, playbooks, and policies to scale the business.
• Monitor legal/regulatory changes and educate stakeholders accordingly.
• Triage ad hoc legal, compliance, and operational matters and develop depth in core areas.
