Job summary

Regency Care of Central Oregon in Bend, Oregon seeks a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in line with state and federal guidelines.

You will administer medically prescribed therapy, review orders and records, perform initial evaluations and ongoing assessments, and develop written treatment plans with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of speech pathology and language disorders.
• Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or the Accrediting Body.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatment for patients with speech, language and swallowing problems.
• Evaluates speech and language skills related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
• Reviews referral orders and patient records to determine indicated therapy and accepts physician orders.
• Performs initial patient evaluation and documents assessments at appropriate time points.
• Plans and prepares written treatment plans based on evaluation with physician, patient and caregiver(s).
• Plans and conducts rehabilitative treatment plans to restore communicative efficiency.
• Other duties as requested.
