Job summary

Regency Omak Rehabilitation & Nursing seeks a dedicated Speech Therapist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, swallowing and cognitive challenges, following state and federal guidelines.

You will plan, perform and document evaluations, develop treatment plans with the care team, and deliver rehabilitative therapy to restore and improve communication abilities in a compassionate, in-house setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of speech pathology and language disorders.
• Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or the Accrediting Body.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatment for patients with speech, language and swallowing problems.
• Evaluates speech and language skills in relation to education, medical, social and psychological factors.
• Reviews orders, patient condition and records to determine indicated speech therapy services.
• Performs initial patient evaluation and documents OASIS assessments at appropriate times.
• Plans and prepares written treatment plans with physician, patient and caregiver(s).
• Plans and conducts rehabilitative treatment plans to restore communicative efficiency.
