Job summary

Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an In-House Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Minnesota. The clinician will assess residents, diagnose communication disorders, and provide therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing issues.

AAC implementation and inter-disciplinary collaboration are key components of the role. Qualifications include a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, MN license, and ASHA certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• ASHA certification or licensing is required or preferred.
• Valid MN professional license to practice independently.
• Experience with long-term care or geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate residents to determine communication needs using interviews and standardized tools.
• Provide therapy and intervention for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
• Address dysphagia and feeding difficulties; implement AAC systems when appropriate.
• Collaborate with inter-disciplinary team; stay current with evidence-based practices.
