Job summary

Shores of Worthington, a Residential Health Care Facility, is hiring an In-House Speech/Language Pathologist to join our team on a full-time, part-time, or PRN basis. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat residents with communication and swallowing disorders, delivering therapy in individual or group settings.

Applicants should have a master's in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA certification/licensing, MN licensure, and experience in geriatric/long-term care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders required.
• ASHA certification or license to practice required.
• Valid MN state professional license and registration to practice independently.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate residents to determine communication, swallowing, and related needs.
• Provide individual and group therapy for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team.
• Recommend and implement AAC systems as appropriate.
• Stay updated on evidence-based practices through continuing education.
