Job summary

Repsol seeks an experienced Real Estate Legal Counsel to join the US Legal Department in Houston. You will provide business-oriented legal advice on renewable energy project development, construction, financing, acquisition, disposition, and operation.

The role requires coordinating with internal teams, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with contract and legal requirements. You will draft and negotiate leases, easements, ROWs, and related agreements, review title and surveys, and support

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited school.
• Admission to practice law in at least one US state; Texas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise on real estate aspects of renewable energy projects including development, construction, and financing.
• Draft and negotiate real estate agreements (leases, easements, purchase and sale agreements, ROWs).
• Conduct title, survey, zoning, and due diligence reviews; prepare curative documentation.
• Support financing teams on real estate diligence and risk allocation.
• Manage outside counsel and oversee budgets and timelines.
