Job summary

Repsol Renewables North America seeks an experienced Associate General Counsel to support M&A, corporate governance, finance (including tax equity), and shareholder engagement. This role is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years in renewables energy, strong transactional and corporate law expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressively responsible renewables energy experience focused on M&A, corporate law, and renewables finance.
• Experience with tax equity structures and shareholder relations preferred.
• Strong communication and advisory skills for business managers.
• Excellent teamwork, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support legal aspects of M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate and transactional documents.
• Manage entity formation and governance documentation.
• Support tax equity transactions including structuring and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel.
• Assist with post-asset rotation shareholder transitions.
