• Must be a licensed PTA with active license in state of practice.
• Associate degree in PTA from accredited program.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Assist in evaluating residents under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in establishing and modifying individual resident schedules with the Physical Therapist and team members.
• Train residents, families and appropriate staff in the use of equipment.
• Participate in resident, family and staff education.
• Document CMS-compliant notes in NetHealth EMR as required.
