Qualifications

• Associate's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents to determine need for intervention.
• Assist in evaluations and in planning treatment goals with the PT.
• Implement treatments including gait training, range of motion, balance activities, and modalities.
• Monitor residents’ response and modify interventions with PT guidance.
• Participate in resident and staff education and documentation in NetHealth EMR.
