Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Litigation and Investigations Counsel to manage a diverse portfolio including government contracts disputes, bid protests, claims, and internal investigations. You will partner with outside counsel and business leaders to shape strategy and mitigate risk from day one.

The role requires a Juris Doctor and 4–7 years of experience, with strong written and verbal communication and the ability to coordinate complex matters across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and eligibility for Virginia Corporate Counsel.
• 4–7 years of legal experience in a national law firm, government agency, corporate legal department, or combination.
• Experience managing litigation, government investigations, or complex disputes.
• Experience advising on U.S. federal government contracts and procurement laws (FAR, related regs).
• Experience coordinating complex matters with multiple internal stakeholders.
• Experience conducting internal investigations and providing practical risk-based recommendations.
• Executive presence and ability to build trusted cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of litigation, government contracts disputes, bid protests, claims, and other contentious matters.
• Coordinate business stakeholders, direct outside counsel, and develop litigation strategies.
• Manage outside counsel, including strategy, staffing, budgets, and performance.
• Advise leadership on legal, financial, operational, and reputational risks with practical guidance.
• Conduct sensitive internal investigations involving legal, regulatory, ethics, and policy issues.
• Develop investigation plans, conduct interviews, evaluate evidence, and support corrective actions.
• Advise on disputes under U.S. public procurement laws, including FAR and related regulations.
• Support responses to government investigations and enforcement matters (DOJ, IGs, AGs).
• Oversee e-discovery, document preservation, and coordination with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Security, HR, Government Relations, Marketing, and business leadership on complex matters.
• Promote a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance across the organization.
