Albertsons is seeking an experienced Litigation Counsel to join its Legal Department in California. You will develop and execute litigation strategy for matters affecting our grocery, fuel, and pharmacy operations, coordinating with business partners and outside counsel on a wide range of disputes.

You will manage matters from inception through resolution, handling risk assessment, discovery, and strategic decisions with practical, business-focused judgment.

Qualifikationen

• JD from an accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in good standing.
• 5+ years of meaningful litigation experience.
• Experience handling federal or state court litigation and discovery.
• Ability to manage outside counsel and litigation budgets.
• Strong judgment, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute litigation strategy for assigned matters.
• Manage matters from inception through trial and resolution.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and allocate staffing.
• Advise business leaders on litigation risk.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and hearings.
• Respond to subpoenas and government information requests.
• Work with eDiscovery team on preservation and review.
• Draft and review briefs, motions, and settlements.
