Lennar is seeking a Legal Counsel – Litigation in California to work on front-line matters close to the business. You will partner with divisional leaders to evaluate claims, manage risk, and drive litigation and regulatory work with senior attorneys guiding the process.

The role offers broad exposure to business decisions, advancement in legal judgment, and a hybrid work schedule. In-house team balances risk with business goals within a large homebuilding company.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the U.S.
• 0–5+ years of legal experience with a strong litigation background.
• Experience in insurance defense, construction defect, bodily injury, real estate litigation, or related areas preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, research, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide business partnership, integrating legal expertise with corporate strategy.
• Embrace legal tech, AI-driven tools, cybersecurity, and data privacy strategies.
• Draft, review, and support execution of standard agreements and legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Drive litigation, investigations, regulatory filings, and compliance activities with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
• Perform legal research, issue analysis, and due-diligence, preparing memoranda and summaries.
