ERTC is seeking an experienced Georgia litigation attorney to lead a high-volume portfolio of civil and commercial disputes involving customer non-payment, breach of contract, and enforcement of contractual obligations. This is an in-house litigation position, not a tax litigation role.

The attorney will independently manage matters from initial case assessment through discovery, motions, mediation, arbitration, hearings, and post-judgment enforcement.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Georgia bar.
• Minimum 5+ years in litigation, arbitration, mediation, or dispute resolution.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills; business-minded.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume portfolio of civil/commercial disputes.
• Draft demand letters, pleadings, settlements, and related docs.
• Represent the company in proceedings and coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Develop dispute resolution strategies aligned with financial goals.
• Negotiate settlements to maximize recovery and minimize risk.
• Improve in-house dispute management processes and report on spend.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership.

Position Summary

ERTC.com is seeking an experienced Georgia litigation attorney to lead a high-volume portfolio of civil and commercial disputes involving customer non-payment, breach of contract, and enforcement of contractual obligations.

This is an in-house litigation position, not a tax litigation role. The attorney will independently manage matters from initial case assessment and filing through discovery, motions, mediation, arbitration, hearings, and post-judgment enforcement.

The role offers substantial case ownership, direct collaboration with legal leadership, and the opportunity to practice litigation without traditional law firm billable-hour requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage disputes involving customer non-payment, contract enforcement, and fee recovery through negotiation, arbitration, mediation, and litigation
• Draft and oversee demand letters, pleadings, settlement agreements, and related legal documentation
• Represent the company in proceedings where permitted and coordinate closely with outside counsel as necessary
• Develop and execute dispute resolution strategies aligned with financial and operational goals
• Negotiate settlements that maximize recovery while minimizing legal risk and expense
• Establish and refine internal escalation, enforcement, and dispute management processes
• Monitor and report on recovery performance, cycle times, and legal spend
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership to support cash flow and risk management objectives
• Reduce reliance on outside counsel by expanding in-house capabilities

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission in Georgia
• 5+ years of relevant experience in litigation, arbitration, mediation, or dispute resolution
• Litigation experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience managing disputes from initiation through resolution
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills
• Business-oriented mindset with the ability to balance legal rigor and commercial realities
• Proven ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience building or scaling in-house legal or collections functions
• Background in financial services, real estate, SaaS, fintech, or professional services
• Experience reducing legal spend while improving recovery outcomes
• Leadership experience managing paralegals, legal operations, or junior legal staff
