Latitude is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for a full-time engagement opportunity with a large non-profit healthcare network located in southern California. Applicants should have 3+ years of litigation experience, including reading pleadings, reporting on malpractice claims, and coordinating depositions with physicians and attorneys. Prior in-house healthcare experience is preferred but not required. This position will start as in-office, 2-month engagement with potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

Requirements for the In-House Healthcare Litigation Paralegal:

3+ years of litigation experience
Prior in-house healthcare experience preferred, but not required
Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate
Strong written and oral communication skills
Highly organized self-starter with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines with high-quality work product
Ability to interact effectively with all areas and levels of the organization and outside counsel
Strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.

Compensation

Pay: The annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $75,000 - $90,000 on a full-time basis. Pay for contract roles is based on factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference.
Benefits: Latitude contract professionals are usually W-2 employees eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals receive Group Life, LTD, and AD&D. A qualified 401(k) plan is available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
