Trinity Capital Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a pragmatic finance attorney to draft, negotiate, and close equipment finance transactions alongside the Deputy General Counsel for Equipment Finance.

You will handle the ongoing legal needs of the portfolio, run due diligence, support special projects, and collaborate with borrowers, brokers, and internal teams. This is a 100% onsite role reporting to the Deputy General Counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in one state bar with eligibility to register in Arizona as in-house counsel.
• 3-5 years of practice as a transactional attorney at a firm with a finance practice, or combined firm/in-house experience.
• Strong understanding of secured lending and UCC Article 9.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for legal and non-legal audiences.

Responsabilités

• Draft, negotiate, and close equipment finance transactions in coordination with the Deputy General Counsel for Equipment Finance.
• Coordinate with internal teams on loan structuring, underwriting, and due diligence.
• Support loan compliance and noncompliance efforts, including amendments and workouts as needed.
• Liaise with outside counsel and manage budgets on matters.
• Assist with special projects and research related to secured debt financing.
