Truist in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an Employment Law Attorney to support the Legal Department and HR partners on a broad range of employment law matters across the employee lifecycle. The attorney will advise on recruiting, compensation, performance, leave and wage-hour issues, and workplace investigations, while managing employment litigation and coordinating with outside counsel.

The role requires a Juris Doctorate and 5+ years of post-bar experience, with strong written and verbal

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctorate degree from ABA-accredited law school and licensed to practice law in good standing.
• 5 years of post-bar experience in a law firm, government, and/or corporate settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize matters, utilize time management skills, and move between matters fluidly.
• Ability to handle a heavy workload, manage stress effectively and meet critical deadlines.
• Team-focused mentality and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Aufgaben

• Support attorneys within the Legal Department and business lines with limited supervision.
• Assess legal risk and provide legal advice on routine matters.
• Monitor legislation, regulations, and case law relevant to banking industry practice.
• Prepare/review documents and assist in transactions, litigation, or disputes as applicable.
• Develop an initial area of specialization to support business lines.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to a paralegal and collaborate on active cases or projects.
