Job summary

Worldwide Sourcing Group seeks an Assistant In-House Counsel (Employment Law) to join our legal team. This role focuses on California employment litigation, including wage/hour, PAGA, FEHA, and class actions, while collaborating with HR and business leaders on risk management.

The position is fully onsite with five days a week in-person attendance. The incumbent will work with Senior Counsel to shape litigation strategy and ensure regulatory compliance, handling investigations and policy updates.

Qualifications

• JD required.
• Active California Bar membership required.
• 2 to 6 years of employment litigation experience.
• Experience with wage and hour, PAGA, FEHA, and employment class actions.
• Strong written and oral communication, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with clients, HR professionals, or business stakeholders.
• Prior law firm employment litigation experience strongly preferred.
• In-house employment law experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with employment litigation matters including wage/hour, PAGA, FEHA, and class actions.
• Partner with Senior In-House Counsel on litigation strategy, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Manage outside counsel and oversee litigation budgets and case progress.
• Respond to agency inquiries and administrative claims (DLSE/DFEH, EEOC).
• Review and update employee handbooks, employment agreements, policies, and HR docs.
• Advise on California labor and employment law compliance.
• Conduct legal research and advise on developments in employment law.
