Qualifikationen

• Law degree required and bar admission in Wisconsin.
• 6+ years of experience as a practicing lawyer.
• In-house experience preferred.
• Background in transportation, HR, finance, accounting or a regulated industry is preferred.
• Able to plan, organize and prioritize many tasks at once.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Examine facts, identify legal risks and recommend the best solutions to Schneider leaders.
• Formulate and test hypotheses from limited evidence to identify solutions.
• Monitor matters with legal implications for consistency with company guidelines.
• Communicate legal matters clearly to business leaders.
• Work with departments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Draft and negotiate business contracts including carrier, cross-border, and software contracts.
• Assist with negotiations of acquisitions or divestitures and related contracts.
• Develop and provide engaging legal education and training for the company.
