Job summary

BinaryBees Business Solutions LLC in Des Moines, IA, seeks an experienced in-house Counsel to lead litigation and employment-law matters across a national transport and logistics network. This hybrid role requires in-office presence on Wednesdays and Fridays, with strategic input to HR and business leaders.

You will oversee outside counsel, advise on EEOC, NLRB, and regulatory issues, and help shape risk mitigation, policy, and litigation posture across the organization.

Qualifications

• J.D. required with license to practice in Iowa or eligibility for admission to Iowa Bar.
• Experience managing complex litigation and employment/labor counseling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee litigation strategy for auto liability, workers' comp, employment, and labor disputes.
• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to HR and leadership on workplace matters and investigations.
• Manage outside counsel, negotiations, and settlements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Claims, Operations, Safety, and HR on risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.
• Advise on EEOC, NLRB, and agency proceedings; respond to charges and prepare statements.
