Job summary

Fervo Energy, an innovative geothermal energy company, seeks early-career attorneys for a two-year Legal Rotational Development Program in Houston, TX. You will rotate through Commercial Contracts, Construction, Governance & Securities, Finance, Land & Regulatory, and Power Markets while working with experienced attorneys.

Participants gain practical legal judgment, business acumen, and a path to a permanent in-house role.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
1–3 years of legal experience following law school.
Excellent legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Complete two one-year rotations across core Legal practice areas.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and correspondence.
Manage discrete legal matters from intake through resolution under supervision.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and summaries for business decisions.
Provide guidance while balancing commercial objectives and legal risk.
Develop relationships across the organization to understand business priorities.
