Job summary

Rheem North America is seeking a Corporate Counsel in Atlanta to review, draft, and negotiate a broad array of commercial contracts across procurement, sales, and logistics. This role works with the Law Department to ensure agreements comply with company standards and applicable law, serving as a key liaison between business teams and senior counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 7+ years of contracts negotiation experience at a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and strong legal judgment.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial transactions, and corporate legal principles.
• Experience with technology and IT agreements, equipment and tooling, aviation, and logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive intake requests from procurement, sales, and other business units and provide initial legal guidance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including procurement, vendor, customer, supply, distribution, and sales documents.
• Advise on contract interpretation, risk allocation, and legal implications of provisions.
• Review and redline third-party agreements against templates and guidelines for compliance.
• Coordinate cross-functional approvals and ensure compliance with delegation of authority policies.
• Manage contract lifecycle activities including tracking authorizations, expirations, renewals, and related correspondence.
• Draft and negotiate contract modifications, amendments, and statements of work.
• Identify improvements to templates, playbooks, and processes.
• Support development of standard terms and assist with legal research as needed.
