Job summary

Novanta Inc. seeks a Senior Corporate and Commercial Counsel to serve as a strategic business partner for contracting and corporate matters.

The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating key customer and vendor agreements while supporting securities disclosures and compliance in a global manufacturing/high-tech environment. You will collaborate with General Counsel, finance, and cross-functional teams to optimize contracting processes and implement modern legal operations, including

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in good standing.
• 8+ years corporate legal experience, in-house or law firm.
• Experience supporting multinational manufacturing/high-tech organizations and handling securities matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial contract negotiation and guidance across business units.
• Refine contracts management processes and leverage AI tools in workflows.
• Support SEC and Nasdaq compliance and corporate/securities matters.
• Partner with finance/tax on corporate issues and disclosures.
• Provide business-minded legal support to cross-functional teams.
