Job summary

Flagship Pioneering in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Contracts Attorney for its in-house legal team to draft, negotiate, and manage a high-volume mix of contracts across Flagship portfolio companies, including Master Service Agreements, work orders, CDAs, and research collaboration agreements.

The ideal candidate has a JD, is admitted to the bar, can manage multiple matters with minimal supervision, and excels in clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and using AI-assisted

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Bar admission in at least one U.S. state and in good standing.
Ability to manage multiple matters with guidance from senior attorneys.
Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
Responsive, professional, and collaborative in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and apply AI legal tools to everyday work.

Responsibilities

Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of contracts for Flagship portfolio companies.
Prepare redline drafts for senior attorney review.
Deliver contract process training to relevant business units.
Format documents for finalization and execution, including e-signatures.
Coordinate with Finance and Procurement to improve processes.
Advise stakeholders on contractual rights and obligations.
Identify and help resolve issues affecting contract completion.
