Job summary

Kastle is hiring a Compliance Counsel to build the regulatory foundation for its AI agents in banking. You will translate complex financial services regulations into practical product requirements, tests, and operating controls while handling contract reviews for customers and vendors.

The role is hands-on with broad ownership, requiring collaboration with founders, product, and engineering teams, and direct client interaction with banks and lenders.

Qualifications

• JD and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar (in-house California eligibility).
• 4+ years of legal or regulatory compliance experience in lending, banking, or fintech.
• Experience partnering with product and engineering at a tech company to bring regulated products to market.

Responsibilities

• Build our AI compliance program with policies, controls, and documentation for consumer and commercial lending workflows.
• Translate regulations into test cases with clear pass/fail criteria and testing scenarios.
• Maintain a current repository of regulatory requirements and update products and tests accordingly.
• Advise on product development by reviewing agent scripts, disclosures, and flows for compliance risk.
• Collaborate with customers’ bank compliance teams on deployment reviews and control requirements.
• Draft and redline customer and vendor contracts with confidentiality and data protection provisions.
