Job summary

RunBuggy in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Commercial Counsel to own commercial contracts, draft, review, and negotiate customer and vendor agreements, and manage the contract management system.

You'll work with General Counsel on data privacy, intellectual property, employment, and litigation, and partner with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance to explain risks and keep deals moving. This is a hybrid role with 2–3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• 2–5 years legal experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Active license in good standing to practice law in Arizona or eligible to register as in-house counsel in Arizona.
• Direct experience with SaaS agreements and services agreements.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of contracts and prioritize deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer and vendor agreements (SaaS, master services, order forms, SOWs, amendments; NDAs, data processing, partnerships).
• Serve as primary legal contact for Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance on contract questions and deal structure.
• Explain legal and business risk clearly and escalate significant terms to General Counsel.
• Maintain contract templates, clause library, and negotiation playbooks.
• Manage contract intake, review, approvals, signatures, and training.
