Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. is seeking an in-house attorney to support general legal services, assist the Assistant General Counsel and Vice President/GC, and help draft, review, and negotiate contracts.

The role requires diverse legal research, meeting participation, and compliance with industry standards. There are four job grades (Associate Attorney, Attorney, Staff Attorney, Senior Attorney) with corresponding salary ranges.

Formación

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and apply legal concepts and principles.
• Ability to interpret, analyze and prepare contract documents.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the negotiating, drafting, and performing legal review or preparation of contracts and other miscellaneous legal documents.
• Assist with providing legal assistance to the various functional areas of Tri‑State in matters pertaining to the Association's general business and utility activities.
• Perform varied legal research and also attend meetings, seminars and functions as requested.
• Adhere to company policies, programs and procedures as well as CIP, WECC, FERC, NERC, MRO standards and EEO laws and regulations.
• Safety: Maintain safety awareness and comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment and wear safety gear.
• Culture: Demonstrate commitment to Tri‑State's culture and core values and compliance programs.
